The Time Jumpers are nominated for 2 Grammy's this year (I think it's their first). They are the coolest group ever! I'm totally rooting for them.

The Grammys were sooooooooo much better last year. Tina didn't do bad for someone who is going to turn 69 this year.
Why is "Before He Cheats" still winning awards. It was released in the spring of 2006, before Taking The Long Way. From the live blog at countryuniverse.net, after the portion of the Grammys where it tries to be like American Idol. 8:38 Nice musicianship there, but let's be honest. Martie Maguire would wipe the floor with all of you.

That's awesome. I agree with you Judy, this year's grammys aren't great. I think it has alot to do with the lack of quality albums this year. I
can't believe that horrible Umbrella song won a grammy. That's just sad.

I was thinking the same thing about the "American Idol" part of the show about Martie wping the floor with those 3. They were certainly good
though^^^Can I just say how much I don't like Rihanna now!!! She seamed like such a snob after winning her award and didn't even shake Taylor
Swift's hand like Jay-Z did. Plus if I was Beyonce I'd knock her out after dragging him up to the stage and drooling all over him...
Favorite Performance-Alicia Keys and John Meyer/Kanye West (I almost cried during his performance) Worst Performance- Sorry to any Carrie Underwood fans but hers was the worst. It wasn't a bad performance but compared to all the other ones, it was just out of place. Happiest moment for me: Doris Day receiving a Lifetime Acheivment award. I love Doris Day as a an actor and a singer AND she's from Cincinnati
Over all I thought it was a great show but not quite as good as last years.

Yeah, Kanye did have the best performance of the night by far. Carrie's performance was bizzare and out of place like you said. I didn't get the whole
Stomp background, with the black leather outfit and the Christina Aguilera like runs at the end. Let's be real, she can sing, but she's no X-tina.

The grammys sucked so bad this year.
Kanye's performance was good. I love Hey Mama and I knew he'd sing it...and it made me sad. 
But even though the music came on when he was talking about his mom with his whole acceptance speech, it was rude of him to think that he deserved a longer time to stand up there and talk. He should have got on with the thanking instead of taking his sweet time...then he could have talked about his mom before the music ever came on. ---------------------------------------------------
